A Study on Nursing Service Satisfaction and Intention to Revisit and Recommend Hospital in Inpatients

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the correlations between nursing service satisfaction and intention to revisit and recommend the hospital in inpatients.

Methods: The subjects were 233 inpatients of P university hospital in Yangsan. Data was analyzed by t-test, ANOVA and Pearson`s correlation coefficients using SPSSIWIN 18.0 program.

Results: The subjects were not satisfied with nursing service provided in the hospital. The male subjects` nursing service satisfaction and intention to revisit and recommend the hospital were higher than female subjects. Intention to revisit the hospital of subjects of internal medicine unit was higher than subjects of surgery and other units. There was a positive correlation between the responsiveness among subcategory of SERVQUAL and intention to recommend the hospital.

Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that it is necessary to develop strategies to increase nursing services satisfaction in order that inpatients revisit and recommend the hospital.
